Abstract
Muscle fatigue is a phenomenon that occurs when the body is subjected to intense muscular effort or when physical activity is performed that is too demanding for a person's level of physical conditioning. Although it is a normal effect of sports training, the excessive accumulation of residual fatigue can lead to chronic fatigue that can negatively affect physical performance and health. Therefore, it is important to understand the different types of fatigue and how they affect muscle work capacity. Despite the fact that muscle fatigue is a widely studied topic, there are still gaps in our knowledge about how muscle fatigue affects different population groups. Furthermore, more precise and effective tools are needed to study the effects of muscle fatigue on different muscle builds. In this article, research on muscle fatigue in people with different muscle builds is presented, using the FES as a fatigue device. The results show that fatigue affects people with different fitness levels differently and that the FES can be a useful tool to study the effects of muscle fatigue in different population groups.
