Abstract
The current study investigates the flow characteristics over a static smooth circular cylinder at varying Reynolds numbers. Flows over circular cylinders are well-studied and understood in fluid dynamics, making them crucial for validating experimental procedures, calibration of measuring equipment and computational codes, and gaining knowledge about the process. This study aims to determine the drag, lift, and pressure coefficients of the flows over the cylinder at different Reynolds numbers, and to assess the validity of the wind tunnel, aerodynamic scale, and pressure sensors used for the research. The results indicate that the pressure sensors delivered expected outcomes for the pressure coefficient.
