Abstract
In recent decades, society began to discuss the problems associated with environmental and energy issues. Fuel-based energy sources non-renewable fossils have become the target of scientists and environmentalists due to their high level of environmental degradation. In this discussion, hydroelectric plants proved to be just as harmful, due to the great environmental and social impact when installing it. In this context, solar cells emerge as a source alternative with less polluting potential for home energy generation or in power plants. Research around solar cells dates back to the 1950s, and it is currently It is possible to find a wide variety of them on the market. The most common models and cheap solar cells are based on polycrystalline silicon, however they can monocrystalline silicon models and even triple cells can be found on the market junction. Devices based on polycrystalline silicon have the advantage of be cheap and have relative efficiency (around 11%). The use of photovoltaic devices has become popular in the last decade due to the reduction costs in your production chain. In Brazil, government laws reduce the rates and encourage the private generation of electricity through panels solar. Such panels are composed of tens or hundreds of solar cells. These cells can easily be purchased in national or international online stores. imported. In this context, this work proposes to characterize a batch of solar cells of polycrystalline silicon purchased through a virtual shopping site. In this way the objectives are to characterize the polycrystalline silicon solar cells of Chinese manufacturing for its overall spectral response. So get I x V curves of Chinese-made polycrystalline silicon solar cells and Verify standardization of the spectral response of Chinese-made solar cells is a main objective of the work. Polycrystalline silicon solar cells were acquired in 2019 through a website Chinese shopping. The characterization of the solar cells will be carried out through solar simulator at the Photovoltaic Devices Laboratory of the National Institute of Space Research – INPE. It is expected to obtain standardized curves for the response spectrum, as well as standardized IxV curves.
