Abstract
The first experimental studies of intraoral force, date from the 17th and 19th centuries, giving rise to the gnathodynamometer. The study of bite force will evaluate dental treatments and diagnoses of dental anomalies in the dental arch of patients, having become an increasingly common measure of performance, helping the dentistry area. Currently, electronic devices are used to perform the bite force, as they are exact and precise or sufficient to measure the common load. It is expected with this project, to obtain a lower price device to measure bite force of the patients, capable to generate a report with the patients data and after the analysis, refer to the necessary dental treatment. Data analysis can also contribute to the improvement of oral health policies.
