Abstract
This article describes the building process of a bionic arm, based on a 3D open source model available from InMoov, and using servo motors activated by a microcontroller on the Arduino platform, and a non-invasive myosensor fixed on a human arm muscle. The goal is to build a prototype used as a base for the construction of electromechanical prostheses using 3D printers, automatically controlled by a myoelectric sensor, making them accessible to most Brazilian population who needs such technology. As a result, we built a successful prototype and listed some recommendations and main challenges.
