Abstract
In this paper we deal with the means of checking and improving the quality of the recorder data. The flight data was registered during the flight test campaign of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), called Eolo. This UAS has ´ a high aspect ratio and structural flexibility, designed to study aeroelastic phenomena and to evaluate the interaction of flexible effects with the aircraft flight dynamics. For this research, a flight path reconstruction (FPR) has been developed to quantify the instrumentation errors and correct the measured data from the sensors for systematic errors like scale factor, zero shift biases, and time lags. The FPR consists in estimate the kinematic states, using the measured values of the inertial measurement unit (INS/GNSS) as inputs. The initial conditions can be obtained from smoothed measurement values at the initial time. Then this paper proposes to describe the flight test procedure used to obtain the flight data, design the FRP and make the data analyses in a way to obtain the most adequate flight data for identification process. This paper is based in a part of ongoing research.
