Abstract
This paper introduces the use of fuzzy simulation of dynamic system having uncertain parameters. The fuzzy simulation is tested on a self-balancing robot system. The simulation method is shown to result in a good approximation of the response, but by being much more computationally efficient than Monte-Carlo simulations. Such simulation method could be used in an optimization loop during the robust design of a mechatronic system.
