DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UMA BANCADA DIDÁTICA COM ACIONAMENTO PNEUMÁTICO PARA ANÁLISE EXPERIMENTAL DE ESTRUTURAS TRELIÇADAS

This article presents the development of an experimental didactic bench with a pneumatic actuator for destructive testing of trusses as an educational object aimed at engineering students for better understanding and experimental validation of the theories applied during the design and construction of truss structures. Given the context of the regularity of spaghetti bridge competitions at universities in the country and its importance in the education of future engineers, a bibliographic research was made, explaining the different and most common types of benches used for the destructive testing of these bridges. This research showed the demand for improvements and standardization of the tests of these trusses structures used to obtain more accurate results that allow a better understanding and connection with the related theories. For the design of the didactic bench, the type of pneumatic actuator was chosen due to its easy maintenance and low cost technology, that does not generate pollution to the environment as well. As a result of this work, in addition to obtaining more accurate results and, consequently, a more effective validation of the theory, the project provides a motivating experience for the gaining of knowledge, in order to contribute to the quality education of future engineers.
