Abstract
The forces and processes involved in a recovery system that uses a parachute to decrease the terminal velocity of its projectile, even though can be complex, shall be studied to guarantee the proper function of the whole system. Such analysis can be done taking into account the snatch force, an important theoretical estimate. This work aims the study, through a static linear computational simulation, of the snatch force on a prototype that connects the parachute chords to the body of the rocket designed to an one kilometer apogee. The considered force for this simulation was 527.34N. With the results of the simulation that was carried out, the model was validated by the analysis of the displacement it will be subjected to and the values for the von Mises Stress. These results allow the continuity of the model study.
