Abstract
The comercial refrigeration has change the way that humanity stocks products. However, the average temperature on the cooling area, about -10°C, favours frost formation on the evaporator’s surface. The frost can decrease the eficiency of the cooling system. Therefore, it’s necessary to understand frost formantion. The frost formation it’s consquence of heat transfer, and that one can be change by the flow patter on the tubes of the evaporator. The refrigerante goes along multiple patterns when it changes his fase from liquid to gas. From the implemetation of the Taitel and Dukler model it became possible to indentify the flow patter to help to understand the frost formation on evaporators.
