Abstract
Abstract: Additive manufacture it’s an increasing development manufacture process. 3-D printing objects gained space in engineering applications, being subject to wear while in usage, knowing wear properties of pieces manufactured by 3-D printing by fusion deposition modeling (FDM) it’s important. The current study aimed to verify the effect of printing parameters of the FDM influenced in the abrasive wear of the acrylonitrile-butadiene- styrene (ABS) polymer printed pieces using the Pin-on- Drum abrasive test. The influence of thickness of the printed layers was analyzed by the printing time, quantifying the percentage of air gaps inside and the wear resistance of the same according to ASTM D5963. The results showed that with the variation of the printing parameters it interfered in a significant way in the resistance to abrasive wear.
