Abstract
This work presents preliminary results for a beta software capable of analytically estimate the following flowpath properties for flat-plate leveled scramjets under shock-on-lip-on-corner conditions: pressure, temperature, specific mass, Mach Number, ground velocity, sound velocity, shock waves, expansion waves, wave drag and skin-friction drag. The results were obtained through a case-study of the 14-X BS Scramjet Engine, under development at the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Brazilian Air Force, for scramjet technological demonstration at Mach 7 and 30 km AMSL. This works enables further investigations regarding the acting forces within the vehicle scramjet geometry, helping to refine its propulsion system. Once the software reaches an appropriate technology readiness level, it may increase the efficiency of preliminary design reviews for any future flat-plate state-of-the-art scramjets according to each mission architecture.
