Abstract
In this work it was applied the experimental planning to the study of the ratio of quantity of fibers and the use of a compatibilizing agent in the influence of properties of a composite with polymeric matrix using High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) reinforced with coconut’s fiber. Using the concentrations of 10% and 20% of fiber and 3,5% of HDPE functionalized with maleic anhydride (Polybond®) as a compatibilizer with the aim to improve the interaction resin-fiber. To this study it was performed tests for hardness, impact and density. With the results obtained it was possible to see the influence and interaction of the materials that were used.
