Abstract
This work presents the structural health monitoring analysis of an isotropic material (aluminium plate) performed through a artificial immune system, more precisely, the negative selection algorithm. The experimental data were provided by Rosa (2016). Piezoelectric transducers were glued on the aluminium plate whose dimensions were 500x500x2mm, which work as sensors and actuators at the same time. To manipulate the data the signals were analysed by defining their first packet, considering only time interval equal to the excitation force. In this case, there is not interference of the reflected signals on the edges of the structure. The signals are obtained in the normal situation (baseline) and, afterwards, in the damage situation. The negative selection algorithm was implemented which is based on the process of pattern recognition performed by the biological immune system, and is modeled computationally.
