Abstract
The SAE AeroDesign competition happens with the objective of selecting the best aircraft, so that its models can serve as innovation in the aeronautical sector. Therefore, this work proposes to verify the mechanical properties of the materials that are used in the manufacture of prototypes. It is necessary to study the application of the materials, to know their mechanical properties, knowing the loading loads of the components of the prototype and to obtain, through tests, the properties of the materials. A bibliographical survey was made on the mechanical properties of the materials used in the AeroDesign fabrication, as well as on the reports of some participating teams on the loads in the structural components, after which the materials used in the prototype were tested. properties of the materials found in the bibliographic review and with the loads of the structural components, to verify if they fit.
