Abstract
The Competitive Intelligence (CI) is a proactive tool used to capture and organize relevant information on the behavior of competitors, customers and society as a whole, analyzing trends and scenarios, and enabling better decision-making in the short and long deadline. This work seeks to demonstrate that the market information structured by Competitive Intelligence (CI) become the compass that guides the strategic actions of a company of any industry. Research on customer movements, suppliers and competitors are of vital importance to the success of any business, completed further by research on the best way to make a product, and expert consultation to obtain technical or commercial knowledge . Finally, this paper will demonstrate also that the Competitive Intelligence (CI) provides information for decision-making related to the management system to be used in manufacturing, the value chain of a company, to identify the "core business" of a company, the outsourcing process, to "lay out" of production and investment in automation of production processes.
