Abstract
The 300M and a Steel High Steel ultra-resistance, the similar SAE 4340 steel, Developed CTA hair set with Brazilian companies. Highly used in the aerospace industry to build rocket engines envelopes and aircraft landing trains in the high mechanical resistance function. Some of the problems faced without this use is steel related machinability, due to the high content of silicon and weldability in high hardenability function. No heat treatment becomes required the ovens use with controlled atmosphere or salt baths to avoid decarburization. In this work carried hum study of the welding process plasma steel 300M, comparing the performance of the welded joint in Parallels cords and perpendicular to the direction of lamination. Compares for metallography, mechanical testing, traction and hardness of the performance of welded joints and the influence of hum heat treatment of double tempering, paragraph that was held mechanical testing. How tensile test of way to compare the difference between the before making hardness material and after treatment realization and preparation metallographic paragraph later a microanalysis Structural materials and make comparison between the two processes. Used were 8 plates Steel where 4 of them Were Cut no sense lamination and as other 4 crosswise lamination way that also be possible be analyzed and comparative the difference between the rolling senses paragraph using steel and process decarburization.
