Abstract
This work consists in the development of an algorithm for the temperature data processing of the union, removal and repair of welded joints, to determine the experimental thermal cycle. The experiments consist of the following steps: union of welded joints by the FCAW-G process (Gas-Shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding), gouging (removal of weld) and repair by the FCAW-G) processes, thus defining a thermal cycle. Thereby, the acquisition of instantaneous temperature data was obtained by the LabVIEW software, for 4 thermocouples positioned in the region of ZAC (zone affected by heat) along the length of the metal plates on which the tests were carried out. Therefore, the treatment performed is subdivided into two computer programs: The first, for data sorting at each stage (union/removal/repair) to determine the most critical temperature acquisition of one of the thermocouples; The second, for concatenate the temperature curves of each stage based on the thermocouples chosen, to build the thermal cycle of the tests performed. Hence, the information obtained allows a better understanding of peak temperatures, heating and cooling rates, and also the behavior of the material's microstructure when subjected to the tested thermal cycle. The computer programs responsible for data processing were written in MATLAB.
