Abstract
Technological advances have demanded from manufacturing industries great challenges to become competitive due to the current world scenario. Producing with quality and low cost are trends that are increasingly present in the daily life of the sector. With an increase demand in the oil and gas market, there is an increase in the maintenance and manufacture of components using a manufacturing process in super duplex stainless steel, due to mechanical properties and corrosion, the turning of super duplex stainless steel has been studied and the optimization of its parameters is necessary because it is a material of difficult machinability. This article aims to optimize the machining parameters in the UNS S32750 super duplex stainless steel turning process, using the desirability function for quality and productivity analysis, applying the response surface methodology (RSM), analysis of variance (ANOVA) , using carbide inserts coated by the chemical vapor deposition process (CVD) without fluid. The study showed the desirability value for biobjective optimization 0.9682 reaching the intermediate value between quality and productivity.
