Abstract
Increasingly promising, the concept of sustainability has attracted the interest of researches in the development of new devices for the capture and conversion of energy. In this context, improvement projects are being developed to maximize energy generation. Among then, the horizontal axis turbines shrouded by diffuser present more efficient results in capturing energetic fluid in motion, this because it is able to concentrate it and, therefore, increase the mass flow through the turbine rotor. Thus, parameters such as diffuser position in relation to the rotor, angle and length of tube expansion and geometric characteristics, are objects of study. Latest searches introduce the adaptive geometry concepts to the device and brings surprising results. The aim of this article is to present a systematic analysis in the literature of variable geometry diffusers for turbine used in the capture and production of sustainable energy. For this purpose, an electronic search was carried out in the Scopus and Web Science databases to identify the works already published and to know the results obtained.
