Abstract
This article presents a stochastic beam bending problem in a Pasternak foundation, solved using the Galerkin method. The Galerkin method is applied, in the abstract variational form of the problem, obtained through a simplification process of the beam beam differential equation. The uncertainty, present in the problem, lies in the physical parameters present in the beam bending equation, linked to the differential operators.Monte Carlo simulation generates samples for the stochastic process. Then, the influence of the uncertainty in each physical parameter in particular, in the response of the beam displacement is analyzed.
