Abstract
The influence of heat treatments on Ni(50.7)-Ti springs is investigated regarding the hysteresis loop area, distribution of precipitates and transformation temperatures. Aging at 300oC, 400oC, and 500oC are performed in order to precipitate Ni3Ti4 particles. The results demonstrate that the hysteresis loop area can be altered according to the desired application.
