Abstract
SANIIRI flume is a continuous method, flow measurement in open channels, indirectly through the upstream and downstream levels. This type of gutter is used in applications such as irrigation canals, water treatment plants, etc. The experiment carried out aims to the study of the flow in a small-scale SANIIRI flume, based on equations available in the technical standard. It is executed if the input flow in the model and from the heights of the sheets of water upstream downstream of the pipeline through sensors attached to an electronics prototyping platform. By obtaining a series of data for various flows made possible a comparison between the values measured flow at the entrance of the model and the values calculated using standardized equations. Using dye was observed that there was no symmetry in the drainage profile, which was proven by computer simulations. Through the study of CFD (CFD) compared the values of actual flows with the flows calculated through the technical standard for the small-scale model. The equations available in technical standards provide a satisfactory result for the flow value, since they consider the uncertainties associated with the disposal.
