COMBUSTION QUALITY DETERMINATION FOR COMMERCIAL PELLETS IN A SMALL SCALE BURNER

Abstract
This study aims to assess the quality of the combustion of commercial pellets. The parameters recorded in the data acquisition system allow through indexes compare the performance of the process of combustion in a combustor of a small scale. The experimental apparatus consists of a load cell (Δm, g) and thermocouples (ΔT, °C) connected to an Arduino platform. Tests consider three different samples of commercial pellets (Woody Biomass and Non-Woody Biomass): a peanut shell (NWB-01) and two pinus (WB-01 and WB-02), of different origin.
