A METHODOLOGY TO CLASSIFY COMPOSITE PLATES AFTER MANUFACTURING PROCESS USING KRIGING METAMODEL

Abstract
The manufacturing process of composite a material can introduce several defects and imperfection in the final component. The proposed work aims to demonstrate a methodology to identify components out of design specifications using a simple process. Analysing a reference set of plates and defining a baseline to the represent intact components is the base of the methodology that compares damaged plates or recently manufactured components to classify them accordingly to the design specifications. This work presents a methodology that uses Kriging metamodeling to represent a set of composite plates and creates boundaries to a quick identification of damaged components.
