Abstract
During the operations of the Defense and Strategic Communications Geostationary Satellite (SGDC) at the Space Operations Center (COPE), the SGDC performs Station Keeping maneuvers periodically in order to maintain its orbit. At the end of its "boost phase'', the satellite has been exhibiting an anomalous behavior in both the torque and motor current of the reaction wheels. The analysis of related telemetry shows that the satellite probably suffers from sloshing effects (the movement of liquid propellants inside the tanks), generating a sudden torque at the end of burn. Then, these actuators are requested in order to maintain the satellite's attitude.
