Conventional Fuzzy and Type-2 Fuzzy to DC Motor Position Control

Abstract
This paper proposes a method of dynamic adjustment of parameters of conventional fuzzy and fuzzy type-2 controllers using the particle swarm algorithm, or particle swarm optimization (PSO), for the control problem of a servo motor. Thus, two control techniques based on conventional fuzzy and fuzzy type-2 are presented, so a comparison is made between them in order to identify the best alternative for the control problem. The results obtained and analyzed using the metrics provided by the controller evaluation indices as ITEA, IEA and goodhart index.
