Abstract
Aquatubular Steam Generators are widely used equipment for the generation of superheated water vapor as a power source (in thermoelectric power plants) which supplies several sectors of the industry, due to its high production capacity and the possibility of adding extra equipment aiming at obtaining the highest yield. Because of this, in view of the wide market need, the objective of this work is to develop a numerical simulation tool that helps engineers carry out the outline design and nominal design of boilers for industrial installations and their subsequent operating parameters, varying the operating regime, being used as thermal source solid, liquid or gaseous fuels. The EES (Engineering Equation Solver) software was used and followed an extensive specialized bibliographical reference for the implementation of numerical methods and mathematical models, as well as technical data queries by traders and designers of the boiler area. The analysis of the results shows the possibility of evaluating the operational cost of the equipment, furnace and boiler yields, combustion losses, boiler cooling and the heat contained in the exhaust gases and the quantity of flue gases emitted to the atmosphere, all this according to the convenient operating regime.
