Abstract
In this work, a neural network is used as a substitute for the analytic functions that are employed in the traditional nonlinear models applied to hydraulic actuators. The traditional mathematical models of hydraulic actuators are highly nonlinear and depend on parameters whose values have significant uncertainties, requiring large amounts of experimental effort to be identified. On the other hand, neural network methods require very little effort regarding such parameter identification. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by means of experimental results.
