UNCERTAINTY MODELLING IN BOUNDARY CONDITION OF STRUCTURAL CABLE-STAYED BRIDGES

Abstract
In large structures, it is essential to know the dynamic characteristics of the structure, with its natural frequencies, damping, and modes of vibration. The knowledge of the dynamic characteristics allows analysing the design parameters that are being followed during the execution, the detection of damages, besides to predict the possibility of the structure to undergo excitation in its resonant frequencies. This paper aims at the dynamic analysis of a lattice supported by cables via the Spectral Element Method (SEM). The deterministic results are compared with the literature and the statistical moments performed and commented.
