Abstract
This work presents the methodology of development and implementation of a Supervision, Control and Condition Based Maintenance System applied to photovoltaic power plants. The Supervision information is available through OSA-CBM binary messages encapsulated in IP packets within the IoT (Internet of Things) concept. The System receives the information of the sensors and perform four main tasks: 1) Monitoring the operating conditions of each priority equipment; 2) Take the necessary actions to protect the equipments, if necessary; 3) Sending the status and measuring messages to Man-Machine Interface Software; 4) Receiving commands from Man-Machine Interface Software. The methodology is based in five main subjects: 1. Development and assembly of Low-Cost electronic devices for signal conditioning; 2. Use of free software development environments; 3. Use of Low-Cost Single Board Computers; 4. Use of Fuzzy Logic and If-Then Rules for condition-based maintenance procedures within OSA-CBM Architecture; 5. Development of communication protocol using the IoT concept and binary OSA-CBM standard Messages. This system was installed in an off-grid photovoltaic generation plant of 160KWh/month and is undergoing tests and adjustments, allowing real-time visualization of plant information, assisting in checking equipment condition and preventing anomalies from reducing generation capacity or causing damage.
