Abstract
This work aims to estimate the thermal contact conductance in a medium composed by two layers, using an explicit formulation for a transient inverse heat transfer problem. For the estimation, non-intrusive simulated measurements of temperature in one of the layers are used, with different levels of noise and controlled standard deviations. An integral transformation is employed to obtain a regularized version of the measurements. The results revealed better results for continuous functions than for non-continuous functions, as typical in function estimation problems. In comparison to other methods found in the literature, the proposed method is fast and quite satisfactory.
