Abstract
With the advent of Isogeometric Analysis (IGA), a new concept of mapping was introduced. In this work the free vibration formulation applied for trusses analysis is presented. The efficiency of IGA is compared with classical Finite Element Method (FEM) and the Generalized Finite Element (GFEM) and the convergence is checked. The proposed method brings advantages related with implementing, by CAD mapping, and also by numerical accuracy.
