Abstract
The present study covers the experimental analysis of total constant pressure ammonia-water absorption refrigeration system, using heated water from a solar heating system, commonly used in residencies. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the availability of the proposed system comparing it with the original heating system (LPG combustion), as well as verify its impact on the water heating system, as its temperature change. The solar heating system got the expected temperatures, however the energy provided by the refrigerator was not enough so it could change the ammonia evaporation and so refrigeration, the obtained values were well below previous studies using LPG as a heat source.
