Abstract
This study was conceived to characterize the torsion axis of an equipment aimed for studies of threaded fastening elements, specially the evaluation of torque in dental implants. The equipment calibrated with well-defined and substantiated methodologies, made possible the characterization of some parameters of the measurement system with metrological rules. This procedure generates more knowledge about the equipment and the torque measurement processes, adding know how to the development of new micro torque measurement system.
