High-order Immersed Interface Method for 2D Poisson equation

Abstract
The main objective of the present work is to show high-order numerical procedures that are able to handle discontinuities in Poisson Equation. The method used is a Immersed Interface Method, adopting jump correction terms in the finite difference approximations. The results show that 2nd, 4th and 6th order results were obtained when the jump corrections are added in the solution.
