Abstract
This study intends do build a low cost pyranometer using as a sensor element one photosensor like photodiode. The system is based on principle known as photoelectric effect where a electromagnetic radiation reaches the photo sensor generating a electric current. With assistance of one Arduino micro controller the data acquisition is done the entire day. Then, it is possible to do comparisons of the prototype signal with the response of an calibrated pyranometer.
