NATURAL CONVECTION IN A HORIZONTAL ANNULUS FILLED WITH POROUS MEDIA WITH INTERNAL HEAT GENERATION

Abstract
The generalized integral transform technique (GITT), a hybrid numerical-analytical method, is proposed to investigate the steady-state natural convection in an annulus porous cavity with volumetric heat generation. The resulting system of non-linear ordinary differential equations, for temperature and stream function, through performing the GITT is numerically solved by the finite difference method. Purely numerical solutions, using the finite difference method, were performed to validate the results obtained previously. The calculations were performed in the computational software Mathematica.
