The Nyström Method for the One-Dimensional Radiative Transport Problem

Abstract
In this work a methodology for solving the thermal radiative transfer problem in one-dimensional domain and one-band frequency was developed. This problem is characterized by a coupled system between radiative transfer and convection-diffusion equation. The radiative transfer equation is rewritten in terms of integral operators and it is discretized by Nyström method. The heat equation is discretized by finite difference method. The results obtained are compared with those found in the literature.
