Abstract
In this paper, a study of the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is developed by solving a conjugate heat transfer problem in a microchannel. The convergence of the method is evaluated by comparing simulation results for different lattice sizes. Then, to evaluate the method accuracy the numerical results are compared with a solution given by a commercial CFD software ANSYS. The numerical results comprehend both, two and three dimensional simulation results. In order to validate the two dimensional simulation approach, results for the central longitudinal plane of the three dimensional domain will be used for checking the previous 2D results.
