Abstract
This study develops the thermoeconomic assessment of a hybrid-electric propulsion system for aircrafts. A mathematical model was built to describe the behavior of all components of the system, and the Theory of Exergy Cost was applied to determine the variation of the global exergy efficiency and exergy costs of power with respect to the degree of hybridization of the aircraft. The points with highest efficiency and lowest costs were identified.
