EQUILIBRIUM AND PERFECT GAS AIR BEHAVIOR IN THE STAGNATION REGION

Abstract
Undergraduate Students from UFRN’s Mechanical Engineering are developing procedures to calculate the Earth’s atmospheric thermodynamic properties and the conditions right after the normal shockwave considering air as calorically perfect gas and air in chemical and thermodynamic equilibrium. In the final paper the thermodynamic properties ratios (temperature, pressure, and density) considering air as in chemical equilibrium (given by Tannehill and Mugge, 1974) will be present as function of freestream Mach number.
