Abstract
Through the interest and curiosity of mankind, fluid dynamics studies had plethora advances in the early 17th and 18th centuries, increasing the overall academic knowledge and contributing to a lot of engineering aereas. Being one of the arms of the fluid mechanics, aerodinamic aims to understand fluid phenomena and its influence when flowing around certain bodies. Other great advances have been achieved over time, as swell as the wind tunnel and the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), capable of analyze flow aspects through a practic or numerical way, respectively. The present work involves a numerical analysis of the flow around two cylinders with 30 mm of diameter in a low speed wind tunnel. This type of geometry can be seen in towers, buildings, platforms and pillars in general, caracterizing its academic importance. A numerical analysis were performed using commercial software Ansys-CFX® 18.2, in wich measurements from previous studies were used, i.e. mass flow rate. The behavior of the flow around the cylinder was in agreement with the literature data, in wich is observed separation of the flow at different points.
