 Title:
COMPORTAMENTO DE MONOBÓIAS EM ÁGUAS PROFUNDAS

Summary :
DEEP WATER MONOBUOY BEHAVIOR ABSTRACT OFFSHORE OIL INDUSTRY IN BRAZIL MARCHES FAST TOWARDS INCREASINGLY WATER DEPTH. RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDE RECORD EXPLORATION IN 1800 M WATER DEEP. IN THE WAKE OF SUCH A TREND, OIL PRODUCTION BASED ON MONOBUOYS SYSTEMS HAS ALREADY BEEN USED IN OPERATIONS UP TO 830 M DEEP. FOR SUCH WATER DEPTHS SOME ASPECTS OF THE MONOBUOY DESIGN BECOME CRITICAL AND MAY CAUSE DRAMATIC CHANGES IN ITS BEHAVIOR. IN THIS WORK, THE AUTHORS DISCUSS SOME OF THESE POINTS THAT CAN AFFECT THE BUOY OPERATIONAL PROPERTIES IN VERY DEEP WATER. THE RESULTS AND COMMENTS ARE PART OF AN INVESTIGATION FEATURING AN 830 M-DEEP MONOBUOY INSTALLATION IN CAMPOS BASIN, R.J. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: HYDRODYNAMICS, MONOBUOY, FLOATING STRUCTURES
