ROBUST H-INFINITY CONTROL FOR FLEXIBLE STRUCTURES WITH REDUCED DYNAMIC
 
Summary :
ABSTRACT: A SOLUTION FOR THE SPILLOVER APPEARING IN THE ACTIVE CONTROL OF FLEXIBLE STRUCTURES LIGHTLY DAMPED USING THE NEW TECHNIQUES OF ROBUST CONTROL H-INFINITY WITH FEEDBACK IS PRESENTED. THIS TECHNIQUE ASSURES THE STABILITY OF THE CONTROL SYSTEM EVEN IN THE PRESENCE OF THE RESIDUAL DYNAMICS AND GIVES A ROBUST CONTROLLER THAT IN ADDITION HAS A GOOD PERFORMANCE. AS AN EXAMPLE, A CONTROL SYSTEM IS SYNTHETIZED FOR A FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE FORMED BY BAR ELEMENTS AND MODELED THROUGH THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD. THE PROJECT WAS DONE BY USING THE MATLAB® AND SIMULINK®, AND THE RESULTS SHOW THE EFFICACY OF THE SOLUTION PROPOSED. KEYWORDS: FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE, SPILLOVER, ROBUST CONTROL
