GEARS FAULTS IDENTIFICATION IN GEARBOXES
 
Summary :
ABSTRACT. STUDIES SHOW THAT THE PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNIQUES HAVE BROUGHT GOOD RESULTS WHEN USED AS TOOLS OF MONITORING AND QUALITY CONTROL OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. THIS WORK STUDY THE EXISTING CORRELATION BETWEEN THE VIBRATION SIGNALS OF GOOD AND DEFECTIVE GEARBOXES, SEARCHING, THUS, TO DEVELOP A METHODOLOGY OF IDENTIFICATION AND CONTROL IN ORDER TO ADJUST THE GEARBOXES ASSEMBLY LINES TO THE NEW REQUIREMENTS OF QUALITY. THE FAULTS IDENTIFICATION IS MADE THROUGH ANALYSIS AND MATCHING OF THE GEARBOXES DATA USING SIGNATURES ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES, SPECIFICALLY SPECTRAL ANALYSIS AND CEPSTRAL ANALYSIS. FAULTS WERE INTRODUCED IN GEARBOXES. TWO TYPES OF DEFECTS ARE STUDIED SEPARATELY: ONE LOCATED ON SECOND GEAR AND OTHER ON DIFFERENTIAL GEAR, BOTH RELATED WITH MATERIAL LOCATED DAMAGE. THE GEARBOXES ACCELERATION SIGNALS WERE COLLECTED WITH CONSTANT ROTATION AND WITHOUT LOAD. THE RESULTS HAD REVEALED SUFFICIENT SATISFACTORY.
