 Title:
GAS-SOLID FLOW ANALYSIS ON A BUBBLING FLUIDIZED BED REACTOR

Summary :
ABSTRACT. FLUIDIZED BED REACTORS ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE UTILISED FOR ENERGY PRODUCTION AND OTHER APPLICATIONS. A FLUIDIZED BED MAY HAVE DIFFERENT BEHAVIOURS ACCORDING TO ITS OPERATIONAL AND DESIGN PARAMETERS. THIS WORK USES THE GABOR TRANSFORM ON THE TIME-FREQUENCY PLANE AS A TOOL FOR CHARACTERISATION OF THE HYDRODYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF THE BED. IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, A PRESSURE SIGNAL OBTAINED FROM AN INTRUSIVE PROBE WAS ANALYSED IN THE TIME-FREQUENCY PLANE. THE FIXED BED AS WELL AS THE TWO FIRST FLUIDIZATION REGIMES AND THEIR CORRESPONDING TRANSITIONS WERE ANALYSED AND CHARACTERISED ON THAT PLANE.
