IRRADIAÇÃO SONORA DE PLACAS PLANAS APOIADA EM VIGAS
 
Summary :
ABSTRACT. THIS WORK DEALS WITH THE EFFECTS OF REINFORCING BEAMS ON THE RADIATION EFFICIENCY OF PLATES. REINFORCED PLATES ARE USUALLY FOUND IN OFFSHORE STRUCTURES WHERE STRUCTURE-BORNE NOISE PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE ON THE NOISE GENERATED AT THE ACCOMMODATION AREA, PARTICULARLY BELOW ABOUT 1 KHZ. NOISE LEVEL PREDICTIONS REQUIRE ACCURATE ESTIMATES OF THE RADIATION EFFICIENCY OF SUCH STRUCTURES. RESULTS FOR PLATES UNDERGOING FLEXURAL WAVES IN ONE AND IN TWO DIRECTIONS ARE PRESENTED. BEAMS WERE MODELED AS TIMOSHENKO BEAMS AND BY FINITE ELEMENTS IN ORDER TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT RESONANCES IN THE WEBS, WHICH RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES.
