THE TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT HAS BEEN INTRODUCING, IN THE MARKET, NEW MATERIALS AND PRODUCTIVE PROCESSES. AMONG THEM, IT STANDS OUT THE PROCESS OF PRODUCTION OF INJECTED COMPONENTS. THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS PRODUCT TYPE PRESENTS A NATURE MULTIDISCIPLINAR AND INTERDISCIPLINAR. THE DESIGN PROCESS OF INJECTION MOULDED COMPONENTS INVOLVES THE PHASES OF CONCEPTUAL, PRELIMINARY AND DETAILED DESIGN. AMONG OF THESE PHASES, IT STANDS OUT AS THE MOST IMPORTANT, THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN PHASE, WHERE IT IS MADE DECISIONS THAT DETERMINE THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF THE COMPONENT IN THE SEVERAL STAGES OF ITS LIFE CYCLE. THE INDUSTRIES INVOLVED IN THIS ACTIVITY, GENERALLY, OF SMALL AND MEDIUM CAPACITY, IT PRESENTS A BROKEN INTO FRAGMENTS STRUCTURE. IN THIS SENSE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO DEVELOP A DESIGN METHODOLOGY AND A DESIGN TOOLS OF INJECTION MOULDED COMPONENTS THAT IT TREATS THIS ACTIVITY IN AN INTEGRATED WAY. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS WORK IS TO PRESENT A DESIGN METHODOLOGY OF INJECTION MOULDED COMPONENTS AND, MAINLY, THE EMPLOYMENT OF A NEW DESIGN TOOL BASED ON THE INTEGRATION OF QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT AND THE THEORY OF INVENTIVE PROBLEM SOLVING SEEKING THE DEFINITION OF THE SPECIFICATIONS AND OF THE GUIDELINES OF PROJECT OF INJECTED COMPONENTS. THE GUIDELINES ARE ORIENTATIONS TO DESIGN AN INJECTION MOULDED COMPONENTS, ELABORATED CONSIDERING SUBJECTS RELATED TO THE DIFFERENT KNOWLEDGE FIELDS INVOLVED IN THIS ACTIVITY.
