 Title:
MODELLING OF THERMAL COMFORT CONTROL SYSTEM IN INTELLIGENT BUILDINGS

Summary :
ABSTRACT. IN THIS PAPER, HYBRID SYSTEMS AND HYBRID PETRI NETS ARE INTRODUCED FOR MODELLING OF HVAC SYSTEMS (HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING) OF INTELLIGENT BUILDINGS. IN THIS CONTEXT, IT IS CLAIMED THAT INTEGRATION WITH OTHER BUILDING SYSTEMS CAN BE ACHIEVED IN A MORE SYSTEMATIC WAY. PARTICULARLY, IN THE CASE STUDY, WHICH IS PRESENTED HERE, IT IS SHOWN THAT USING THIS APPROACH, THE RESPONSE OF THE HVAC SYSTEM TO THERMAL LOAD VARIATIONS CAN BE ENHANCED, IMPROVING THE THERMAL COMFORT. THE MODELS OF THE CASE STUDY ARE BASED ON THE AMBULATORY BUILDING OF THE HOSPITAL OF THE MEDICAL SCHOOL OF UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO. KEY WORDS: INTELLIGENT BUILDINGS, PETRI NETS, HYBRID SYSTEMS, HVAC SYSTEMS, THERMAL COMFORT
